Jacob at home with covid broadcasting live music to the show
Postcards made to promote the show / Available at the show
• Jacob was in COVID quarantine during opening night. Since the shows inception, we had discussed a musical component to the show. Our intended performer could not participate in the opening, so we decided to create our own audio ambience for those attending. A speaker was placed in an adjacent room to the gallery (pictured above with food/chairs) connected to a laptop. At his house - Jacob had his synthesizer connected to his laptop. For the 2 hour opening, Jacob played music (synthesizer/pattern sequencer) live broadcast directly to the opening. We were both excited about this aspect that was conceived / composed / implemented the day of the show. We were both interested in ?one sided? communication. As a performer - Jacob was blind to what was happening in the show venue. As viewers - attendees were not made aware that the music they were hearing was being performed live/for the show/by Jacob.
